Californian Poppy

Last week I went on a wildflower hike in the Joseph D. Grant park here in northern California. It is definitely fun to discover the seemingly endless variety of flowers in a field that at first looked to be rather boring.

But after walking around for a few hours, it is also extremely satisfying to find your favorite flower species amongst the lesser known ones.

StutterShutter readers: meet the Californian Poppy.
