Old gas station

Visiting the Japanes Friendship Garden in Kelley Park, San Jose (CA), I stumbled upon the History Park. It's an open air museum with old San Jose buildings, some reconstructed and some still original. Just like this beautiful Associated Oil Company gas station.

"This gas station was originally built in 1927 at the corner of Market and Julian Streets in San Jose. In the early 1970s the station closed due to rising gas prices casued by the oil crisis. In 1978, the San Jose Historical Museum rescued the gas station and moved it to History Park." [from HSJ website]

Check the History Park website for opening hours. Park entrance is free. During weekdays everyone can enter the premises and enjoy the scenery, but the buildings are closed. Only schools can take tours in the buildings on schooldays. In the weekend volunteers are more than happy to take other interested people on a (paid) tour in the buildings.
