Devil's Food Cake
Devil's Food Cake... sinfully delicious!
The September issue of the Elf Fantasy Guide (magazine) featured a recipe for this devilish cake, and me being an evil lady, I had to try it ;-)
The recipe originates from the 20th century and the cake was then made with cocoa instead of chocolate, causing it to turn reddish because of a reaction with the baking soda... hence the name. The cake tastes like brownies and my friends wolfed it down like crazy.
