Mini monster
When we were hiking in the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve, south of Palo Alto (California), we encountered this creepy creature.
We didn't know if it was still alive, so we kept our distance. A little googling at home makes me think it's a young grasshopper, because it has no wings. Or it's a really old one with decomposed wings.
