Flammkuchen!
My girlfriend remembers this delicacy fondly from when she was living in Strasbourg. It's called 'tarte flambee' (French) or 'Flammkuchen'(German) and is a delicious 'pizza lite' consisting of a thin crust topped with cheese and, in this case, red onions. This one we ate in Duesseldorf, but you can get them as far away from the Alsatian region as Paris.
