Beer locker

As non-native English speaker I sometimes still mix up the pronunciation of some words. My steak comes out as [say: steek] instead of [stake], I'm afraid of [beers] and I drink [bare].

Last week I asked the pharmacist for a ['sai rinj] and cough ['sai rup]. She answered me that she had to order the [sir 'rinj] and wanted to know what kind of ['si rup] I needed. At least she knew what I meant. Guess she's gotten used to all the foreigners with their strange accents living here in the Bay Area (CA).
