My Guardian Sensor

Because my blood glucose levels sometimes yo-yo like crazy, my endocrinologist prescribed the Guardian: a continuous blood glucose monitor. This monitor is wirelessly connected to a transmitter on a sensor. The transmitter (not on the picture) sends the readings to the monitor. Now I can see 3-, 6-, 12- and 24-hour trend lines instead of a few 'dots' a day. And it alarms me when my blood glucose level is too high or too low.

The mosquito-like thingie on the picture is My First
Sensor. I have to replace the sensor every 3 days. At least that's what the FDA approved, but you can leave the sensor in and revive it for another few days (always at your own risk!).
