Light rail Do's & Don'ts
What you can and cannot do in the VTA Light Rail:
- No smoking
- No indecent dressing
- No playing loud music
- No carrying of inflammable materials
- No putting your feet on the chairs
- No eating or drinking
- No graffiti
- No walking around barefooted
- No rollerskating or -blading
What they encourage you to do is using:
- Trash bins
- Headphones
- Tumblers for your drinks
There's a little contradiction in this list: you're not allowed to eat or drink, but at the same time you can bring a tumbler on board. So I guess they don't want fast food smells and the accompanying garbage in the trains, but it's perfectly fine to spread coffee aromas coming from your reusable cup.
