Pinguin fun

When I saw 'March of the Penguins' I was amazed about the distances they can slide on their bellies, pushing with their feet. This is called 'tobogganing', after the toboggan (little sled). By tobogganing, penguins can move faster over soft snow without sinking in it and therefore loosing lots of energy. They can toboggan as fast as 14-16 km/h, but their feathers will get damaged by this belly sliding.
