A healthy bike ride
The communities in Silicon Valley seem to do a lot to reduce the use of cars. There's a good public transport system and there are plenty of bike lanes and bike paths.
But how do you bring the two together? Well... here is one way: by allowing passengers to take their bicycle with them on the train, light rail or bus.
But how can you bring a bicycle on the bus? Well... in Holland we see many so-called "twinny load" bicycle racks, which are put on the back of a car. The buses in San Jose have similar racks, but they are mounted on the front of the bus.
It's a silly sight at first, but it seems to work well.
