FMC 2003
When I was in New York last month, friends took me to a South African wine bar. Now I'm not a big fan of wine and I'm definitely not into white wine. But the FMC 2005 they served there was amazing. It tasted like sourballs (acid drops if you're British), which coming from my mouth is a big compliment.
So back home I started looking where to get that exact same wine. This turned out to be more difficult than expected. I was apparently not the only one impressed by this wine as it had just won the price for the best white wine... or something like that. Like I said, I'm not a wino.
Anyway... long story short... we ended up with a box of FMC 2003 instead. And even though that is also a very nice wine, I liked the 2005 version better. Although that might also have something to do with the location and the setting where I had it.
Still... you know what I'll be drinking this Christmas eve. :-)
