Pink pigeon

I have been to the Efteling before. But I don't recall ever seeing these colorful pigeons.

Apparently they're part of the cast of the fairy tale Genoveva's Bridal Gown. According to the tale an old weaver is creating a brightly-colored wedding gown and the pigeons help by bringing the twines to her loom as she needs them.

The pigeons used to be manually painted every few weeks. But since that was outlawed, they now take a colorful bath every so often. It's the least they can do to be the star of this show.
