What’s that?!
This could have been a picture for the Friday’s Guess what. But it isn’t. It’s part of a ‘work of art’ they designed as a present for the residents of the district ‘Parijsch’ in Culemborg.
The name of the object is ‘The memory of Parijsch’. It represents an old barn that should have been here long ago. On the imaginary attic, there are wooden boxes. In these boxes, they put 13,000 pieces of a special edition of the local newspaper. Nobody knows what’s written in this paper. The wooden boxes will be re-opened again in 2025, 20 years after the object was unveiled.
I think by daylight it’s just a piece of wood. The object is only attractive by night, when red and green lights illuminate the boxes. But it’s the story behind the object that counts. I must say, I like the idea.
